The college regularly conducts events which have a large societal impact especially to the downtrodden. The college National Service Scheme unit is among the best in the state and is very active in socio-cultural activities and has won numerous awards. Some of the activities include refurbishment and technical help to Government Hospitals in the district, electrification of homes, cleaning drives etc. An event named "Mehar" is conducted annually. It is a community marriage organised by the college for the poor and downtrodden people unable to find spouses in the district.
