Our institute provides the opportunities of the high quality education for all students belonging to faculty of Engineering regardless of gender, race, religion and nation. Our institute gives the opportunities to obtain the skill and learn knowledge for all students belonging to faculty of Engineering. All teaching staff belonging to faculty of engineering conduct the research topics that are corresponding to one of 17 Sustainable Development Goals. A few Students of the faculty of education have started Children’s Town 3 Years ago.

The Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA) is a Brazilian public institution of Higher Education created in 1966.
