University of Zurich co-organizes the 3rd Zurich Conference on Public Finance in Developing Countries

13 September 2018 - The University of Zurich (Switzerland), a member institution of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), is organizing the 3rd Zurich Conference on Public Finance in Developing Countries, that will take place from 17 - 18 December 2018. The event is organized by the Department of Economics of this university jointly with the Centre for Economic Policy Research, the Georgetown University Initiative on Innovation, Development and Evaluation, and The World Bank.

The goal of the conference is to bring together leading economists working in particular on public economics in developing countries. The event will provide as well an opportunity for researchers from different universities and countries to discuss their work in a relaxed atmosphere and to develop long-term collaborative relationships. The keynote speaker will be Oriana Bandiera, Professor of Economics at the London School of Economics.

Professor Bandiera has expertise on Development Economics as well as Organisational Economics. She serves as the Director of the Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines and Co-Director of the State Capabilities Programme at the International Growth Centre. She has a PhD in Economics from Boston College and a BSc and MSc in Economics from the Universita' Bocconi.
