Faculty of Social Sciences Conducts Research on The Role of Education in Peacebuilding: An Analysis of the Impact of Education on Building Sustainable Peace in Eastern Congo. Efforts in the construction of a high education system are carried out in partnership with AUF in the field of agronomic sciences, which contribute to the fight against the poverty of the indigenous populations. The Sustainable Development Goals are at the heart of the realization of multiple projects with the partners (Tropical Soil Organic Carbon dynamics and erosional disturbance gradients in relation to soil geochemistry and land uses of Congo: two randomized control trials, ...) In the field of health, the Regional School of Public Health working within the UCB conducts research against diseases and problems related to the mother and the child (study of implementation of a model of psycho social load of the mother and child couple). The Faculty of Medicine has a university hospital, the largest in the East of the country whose management was ceded to the Catholic University of Bukavu by the Congolese State and which provides the reference care to the populations of the entire region.
