UFERSA is a growing and lively free tuition university located in the Brazilian Northeast, one of the South America closest points to Europe and Africa. With an excellent array of undergraduate and graduate programs, UFERSA provides students at every level with multiple opportunities in order to assure their academic and professional goals. With a vast array of undergraduate courses, UFERSA embraces health and life sciences, engineering, humanities, applied social sciences and law. It also holds several master and doctorate courses, with internationally recognized professors and researchers involved in cuting-edge teaching and research actions. The courses and programs are off ered to over 10,000 students, in four diff erent campuses: Mossoro (head office), Angicos, Caraubas and Pau dos Ferros. Please describe briefly any activities your institution is already carrying out, which are relevant to UNAI and its principles: 
UFERSA is the best Brazilian university in the countryside of the North/Northeast region, according to the Ministry of Education. UFERSA is also one of the 15 ranked Brazilian universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking 2019, which has considered the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) for the first time. The best scored SDG related to activities developed at UFERSA were: promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all; reduce inequality within and among countries; and ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. UFERSA holds the largest solar power plant among Brazilian universities with 580 solar panels producing around 10% of energy demand. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Brazilian Award in 2018. Included in THE Latin America University Ranking in 2018. Student affairs policy at UFERSA works mainly through the Institutional Residence Program, whose objective is increasing the opportunities for students to remain at the university during graduation time. It is aimed at students who are in situation of social and economic vulnerability. They receive finantial support for food, transportation, housing, didactic and pedagogical activities, sports, academic and cultural activities.
