Trinity College Dublin will host a lecture about the Sustainable Development Goals

17 October 2018 - Trinity College Dublin (Ireland), a member institution of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), will host a lecture about the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event, that will take place on 18 October 2018, is organized by the Trinity Global Development Society, which aims to educate and inform members of issues relating to international development and global justice, and encourage student engagement with campaigns and activities surrounding these issues without fundraising or directly organising volunteering initiatives.

The expert in charge of the lecture will be Patrick Paul Walsh, who is currently the Chair of International Development Studies and Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development Studies in the University College Dublin. He also is the Chair of the Academic Steering Committee of the Global Association of MDPs based at the Earth Institute at Columbia University and a Senior Adviser to the Sustainable Development Solutions Networ, a partner of UNAI. His current research is on agricultural productivity in East Africa, social security for all, socioeconomic impact of HIV/AIDS, post-conflict resolution, global food security and many issues surrounding the SDGs.
