SDGs will be addressed during international conference at Columbia University

11 September 2018 - The Center for Sustainable Development hosted by the Earth Institute at Columbia University (United States), a member institution of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), is co-organizing along with the The Global Master’s in Development Practice and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network, a partner of UNAI, the International Conference on Sustainable Development (ICSD) from 26 - 28 September 2018, which will provide a forum for academia, government, civil society, UN agencies, and the private sector to come together to share practical solutions to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

One of the sessions of the event is entitled Breaking Down Silos in Universities: Imaginative Interdisciplinary Approaches to Sustainable Development Research, Education, and Practice, in which among other things, there will be a presentation of the Guide Getting Started with the SDGs in Universities: A guide for universities, higher education institutions, and the academic sector by their authors and, a workshop to discuss about the role of universities in the implementation of the SDGs and to co-create ways of collaboration.
