Please provide a brief description of your academic structure:
Rollins College is a comprehensive liberal arts college that awards baccalaureate, master’s, and doctoral degrees through residential and evening-degree programs and its Crummer Graduate School of Business.
Please describe briefly any activities your institution is already carrying out, which are relevant to UNAI and its principles:
As our mission statement indicates, “Rollins College educates students for global citizenship and responsible leadership, empowering graduates to pursue meaningful lives and productive careers. We are committed to the liberal arts ethos and guided by its values and ideals. Our guiding principles are excellence, innovation, and community.” Rollins’ general-education courses are linked by theme across disciplines to introduce students to the knowledge and multiple perspectives they will need to solve complex, real-world problems, and the College is committed to inspiring action and cultivating positive social change through leadership development and community engagement. The College’s Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub welcomes students and faculty to approach societal inequities and environmental challenges with innovation to develop creative and sustainable solutions to issues in areas such as poverty, education, immigration, healthcare, and human rights. This fall, Rollins launched a major in social innovation. The College was the first to offer an AACSB-accredited undergraduate social entrepreneurship major. Rollins was selected to be the 16th international Ashoka U Changemaker Campus, the leading designation for social innovation in higher education. The College has also earned Carnegie Community Engagement classification. Rollins works with more than 200 community partners to enhance our students’ learning and our community’s quality of life. Recognizing the importance of international experiences to development of truly global citizens, Rollins offers a robust menu of study-abroad opportunities. For five years in a row, the Institute of International Education’s Open Doors Report has ranked Rollins in the top 12 master’s-granting institutions in the nation for percentage of undergraduates who study abroad. The College’s international business program, which requires an international internship, is ranked No. 9 of 143 programs in the U.S. by College Factual.
