Academics is key focus point at Imperial College. It believes in learning of the students. Teaching methods are outcome based. Pedagogy includes classroom teaching, guest lectures, management games, assignments, student seminars in form of genius hour, activity planning by students with a very short notice, arranging study tours, industry visits. Students are assigned with real life projects.

As one of the leading privately funded higher education institution in the district of Bargarh, Odisha, India, offering affordable under-graduate and post-graduate programs, Imperial College has over the years strived to make a difference in the life of its students, the community and its immediate environment. Its students participated in the project Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by Govt of India and educated a village on hygiene and cleanliness.With year round range of activities aimed at providing education beyond the classroom, a selection of which are briefly described below, Imperial College Bargarh is the First Educational Institution in Eastern India to sign an MoU with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India. The MoU has empowered the college to conduct various outreach programs on science and environment protection along with composting process, soil testing for farmers and waste management. With students coming from a relatively backward area, Imperial organises various educational tours to institutions of repute in India, such as IIM Bangalore, IIT Kharagpur, etc., apart from exposing them to a variety of speakers from across India. Imperial’s Merit Scholarship is a means to help meritorious students with financial assistance, helping them realize their educational dreams of achieving a fulfilling career. Imperial’s community outreach program has included voter awareness programs by bringing together local poets from the community to create awareness on the right of their franchise, the importance of a single vote etc. The poets recited poems in the local language thus extolling voters to vote for the right candidate without being influenced by offers were temporal in nature. Outreach programs also involved organizing Blood donation camps, Road Safety Awareness, organizing fund raising events etc. As an environmentally conscious institution Imperial has organized events around discouraging use of single-use plastics by distributing eco-friendly bags to vendors across Bargarh, farming Sunflowers exclusively for feeding wild parrots, embracing trees as friends as part of friendship day while planting neem seed balls etc. It organised Gandhi Global Solar Yatra in association with IIT Mumbai where 100 students participated in the event.As part of its global citizenship effort Imperial also organizes drives to collect funds for people hit by both natural and manmade calamities. As part of this initiative Imperial has organized a drive to collect funds for people hit by cyclone Fani in Odisha India and the Sri Lankan terror attack. We took no time to donate fund to Australia Bushfile relief account too.
