Campus 2030 Challenge: Imagine a Sustainable Campus for All

Imagine it's September 2030 and the Sustainable Development Agenda has been implemented. University campuses are at the heart of the change. They will have to be better integrated into the environment, more energy-efficient, less polluting but also more user-friendly and more welcoming. In short, they will have to be more sustainable and inclusive.

Are you a student or university professor/researcher? Do you want to have a major impact and help to build the university environment of the future? We know you have ideas for transforming your campus and we want to hear from you!

How to Participate

  • Form a team of up to 5 members.
  • Choose one of the 4 themes: student living conditions, the campus in the city, new training challenges and digital on campus.
  • Submit a presentation explaining your project in 5 slides on the online platform provided by Agorize before 16 February 2020

The Campus 2030 Challenge is organized by the UN Regional Information Centre for Western Europe and the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), with the support of UNESCO. The projects will be reviewed by a jury composed of representatives of the United Nations and AUF. The selected teams will then have until 19 April 2020 to deepen and detail their project. The award ceremony will take place in June.

The top three teams, composed of students or professors, will win a week of "Learning Expedition" abroad (valid for two people on the team: flight; training; professional meetings and accommodation).
