56th United Nations Graduate Study Programme

23 January 2018 – Applications for the 56th United Nations Graduate Study Programme (GSP) are now being accepted. Every year, the United Nations Information Service at Geneva organizes a two-week study programme at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland for a group of qualified post-graduate students from all over the world. The seminar will take place from 2 to 13 July 2018 and the theme will be: “Human rights at a crossroads: where we stand in 2018”.

The programme provides an opportunity for outstanding postgraduate students to deepen their understanding of the principles, purposes and activities of the United Nations in relation to this year’s theme. Senior officials and experts of the United Nations and of the Geneva-based specialized agencies will give a series of lectures followed by panel discussions. Participants will also work in groups to study issues related to the topic of human rights, under the guidance of United Nations experts.

GSP will be conducted in English and French without interpretation, therefore candidates must be fluent in both languages. The deadline to submit an online application is Friday, 2 March 2018. Selected candidates will be notified of their selection by mid-April 2018. Please be advised that no travel or living expenses are covered by the United Nations for this seminar.
