Global Partnership Elevates Student Leadership for Sustainable Development

30 April 2018 - The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and Millennium Campus Network (MCN) are pleased to announce a strategic partnership to convene, challenge, and celebrate student leadership advancing UN goals. Building on their combined 17 years of experience engaging institutions of higher education, MCN and UNAI are partnering on the Millennium Fellowship. The Class of 2018 application and details are online at millenniumfellows.org. Applications are now being accepted on a rolling basis through 15 July 2018.

Deadline 16 March 2018: Open Challenge “Students Seeking Solutions: SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation”

Proposals for the “Students Seeking Solutions: SDG 6 - Clean Water and Sanitation” Challenge are due 16 March 2018. Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) undergraduate students from around the world are invited to submit proposals for meeting Sustainable Development Goal 6, which aims to ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all by 2030.

The 10th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition is now open

17 January 2017 - The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria, South Africa are inviting students from around the world to participate in the 10th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition, which will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from 15 July to 20 July 2018.

Lehigh University to grant three full scholarships for UN Staff

20 November 2017 — United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) member Lehigh University has announced the allocation of three full-tuition scholarships for their new one-year MBA programme for United Nations staff and diplomatic missions to the United Nations that have a recognized undergraduate degree. Lehigh will also award qualified United Nations applicants that are not selected for the full scholarships grants of at least $10,000 in tuition scholarship.
