The Sustainable Development Scholarship Challenge

26 January 2018 — Seton Hall University's School of Diplomacy and International Relations is currently accepting applications for its third annual UN Sustainable Development Challenge (UN SDC).

The School is sponsoring two Challenge programs: one for high school students, and a second graduate challenge for college seniors and recent bachelor's degree graduates. The Challenge is the same for each group: propose solutions to any of the UN Global Goals for the chance to win cash prizes and scholarships to attend Seton Hall University.

56th United Nations Graduate Study Programme

23 January 2018 – Applications for the 56th United Nations Graduate Study Programme (GSP) are now being accepted. Every year, the United Nations Information Service at Geneva organizes a two-week study programme at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland for a group of qualified post-graduate students from all over the world. The seminar will take place from 2 to 13 July 2018 and the theme will be: “Human rights at a crossroads: where we stand in 2018”.

The Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists

26 January 2018 — The Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists is now accepting applications from professional journalists from mainly developing countries for its 2018 fellowship program. The application deadline is March 12, 2018.

Education for Sustainable Development Report: call for abstracts

In 2016, United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) joined forces to announce a strategic collaboration to activate universities, research institutions and non-governmental organizations to advance teaching, applied research and problem-solving around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The 10th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition is now open

17 January 2017 - The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Centre for Human Rights at the University of Pretoria, South Africa are inviting students from around the world to participate in the 10th Nelson Mandela World Human Rights Moot Court Competition, which will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from 15 July to 20 July 2018.

The UN SDG Action Challenge Awards

In order to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda, innovators, mobilizers, connectors, storytellers, communicators, visualizers and includers are invited to submit their applications for the UN SDG Action Challenge Awards from 1 December 2017 to15 January 2018.

Lehigh University to grant three full scholarships for UN Staff

20 November 2017 — United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) member Lehigh University has announced the allocation of three full-tuition scholarships for their new one-year MBA programme for United Nations staff and diplomatic missions to the United Nations that have a recognized undergraduate degree. Lehigh will also award qualified United Nations applicants that are not selected for the full scholarships grants of at least $10,000 in tuition scholarship.

Submissions for fifth Carnegie Council for Ethics international contests are now open

20 November 2017 – The Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs is accepting submissions until 31 December 2017 for two annual international contests. Successful submissions will be selected based on thoughtfulness and originality.

2018 CTAUN Poster Competition for College Students

The 2018 Committee On Teaching About the United Nations (CTAUN) Conference will take place at UN Headquarters, New York on Friday 6 April 2018. This year’s theme of the conference is: “Stepping Up to Protect the World’s Children.”
